About this ramyeon
Shin Ramyun has been Korea's best selling instant noodle since 1986, and it is the pack most people mean when they say Korean ramyun. The broth is built on beef and shiitake with a clean gochugaru burn that hits the back of the throat rather than the tongue, and the noodles are thick enough to stay springy right to the bottom of the bowl. It carries around 3,400 Scoville units, which is hot but not punishing.
How to cook
Boil 550ml of water, add the noodles and both sachets, and cook for 4 to 5 minutes. Crack an egg in during the last minute and finish with spring onion.
